Moon Flower grew out of the ideas I first explored with Celine. After finishing that project, I kept wondering how far the same materials and techniques could be pushed — what would happen if the flower became more dimensional, moved away from the frame, and turned into an object that could be held, turned, and viewed from different sides.

In this workshop, I invite you into the full process of making your own Moon Flower. We’ll explore materials, build the three-dimensional form with crochet, add the petals and decorative details, and look at the small choices that can make each finished piece individual.

The finished Moon Flower is approximately 25 cm tall. My favorite materials for this project are jute cord and linen thread, with bugle beads, seed beads, and lace for embellishment, but the project leaves plenty of room for experimenting with your own fibers, textures, colors, and details.

As with Celine, this workshop is not only about following a set of instructions, it’s an invitation to experiment, play with materials, and explore what crochet can become when we allow it to move beyond its familiar forms.
